DreamMore Review

On my most recent trip, I spent a long weekend in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee to celebrate my friend’s 40th birthday. She loves Dollywood, so that is where she decided to spend our time. I visited the same area in 2017 and stayed at the DreamMore Resort both times, so I thought it was time for a review!

When my family and I stayed at the DreamMore in 2017, we stayed in a King with a Bunk Bed room, and this time we stayed in a similar style room, just a little bigger since there were 6 of us. The Junior Suite has a king bed, a bunk bed, and a pull out sofa. The only downfall to having 6 people in the same room is there is only one bathroom, but we made it work. I absolutely love it when a resort includes bunk beds. I chose the DreamMore for my own family because my daughters always appreciate the opportunity to have their own beds versus sharing one. Definitely worth the upgrade in my opinion.

Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort is beautiful. I love all of the details put into it, the activities offered, the size of the rooms, and how convenient it is to get to the park. They have a complimentary shuttle, which is only a few minutes drive from the resort. Another bonus to staying here is that you get a complimentary time saver pass (their version of a skip the line pass, similar to Disney and Universal theme parks). We had the included version that allows you to skip the line for 5 attractions and wait in a shorter queue. This is given to you in the form of a paper bracelet that is scanned before you get on the ride. You can pay extra to upgrade to a pass that gets you 8 skip the lines and also access to skip the line for 2 of the coasters that aren’t included in the version we had.

The pool is also great and there is a large splash area for the littles.

They offer fire pits in the evening where you can sit and visit and even roast marshmallows. We didn’t get to experience this on our trip due to time and weather, but it is something to put on your list if you ever choose to stay there.

My friend told me that when Dolly was designing the resort, she said she wanted there to be lots of places for families to gather together. This is very evident and successful here. There is a sitting area called “The Living Room” with a big fireplace, tables set up with games, pink lemonade served to guests in the lobby in the late afternoon, story time for kids in the evenings, a coffee shop, and a restaurant. You definitely don’t feel like you need to leave the resort since it has everything you could possibly want.

Song & Hearth: A Southern Eatery

As with any theme park resort, you are paying for convenience when you stay at the DreamMore. Are there less expensive resorts in the area? Yes. But if you want a beautiful resort with all the conveniences, I think staying at the DreamMore is worth it if you are planning a visit to Dollywood during your time in East Tennessee.

Are you ready to plan a visit to the Great Smoky Mountains and include a visit to Dollywood? Tell me what you think your favorite part would be, or if you are already a fan, what is your favorite part?
