Fall at Walt Disney World
Why do I love the fall season at Walt Disney World? Well, let’s be honest…I love Disney at all times, but as someone who has made a trip to visit the Mouse during every month of the year, I can confidently say the fall offerings are some of my favorites.
First, you can experience my personal favorite special event of the year, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, which takes place at Magic Kingdom during select nights of the week.
Costumes are welcome and encouraged for all ages at this fun event! Special events include trick or treating around the park, Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade, Hocus Pocus Spelltacular Show in front of Cinderella’s Castle, special character meet and greets (Jack and Sally, The Seven Dwarves, and classic characters in Halloween attire), and cap your night off with Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular, an always impressive firework and projection show hosted by Jack Skellington himself. You will also enjoy low wait times on attractions and special treats are available for purchase throughout the park.
You can also find my personal favorite festival over at Epcot: The International Food and Wine Festival.
Here you can eat and drink your way around the world with food and beverage booths set up in each of the World Showcase locations. Don’t miss the filet in Canada, the cheese bread in Brazil, the Griddled Cheese in Greece, or the mimosa flight at Shimmering Sips! You can also jam to the sounds of Eat to the Beat, a special concert series featuring famous musical acts that change every few days!
If you are a Midwesterner like me, Florida is also still warm enough to swim this time of year, you so can take advantage of your resort pool or one of the fantastically fun Disney Water Parks like Typhoon Lagoon!
