Client Feature: Disney and Universal Orlando Review

Today’s review comes from a long time client of mine. I love hearing about vacations after you get home! It helps me grow as an agent to hear what others think of their experiences.

This was not this family’s first trip to Orlando, so when I got this review in my inbox, I asked if I could share it here because it might be helpful to you! Thanks, Sandy and family!

Lisa,

We had a great trip to Disney and Universal.  Thank you so much for booking everything for us and for all of the helpful tips!

We ended up eating at Flying Fish on our arrival day instead of Topolino's.  I let my husband review the menus and that is what he picked and it was a great experience!  We had never taken our girls to the Boardwalk area so we took the water taxi from HS and walked around the resorts in that area and took in the free entertainment on the boardwalk.  Girls really enjoyed seeing that so I am glad we went there.

Sunday was a full day at MK.  We felt the crowd was light and we got to do so many rides.  Tron was amazing. We did get a break in the afternoon and since we had done so much during the day, we didn't go back to the park until around 6.  The Halloween party was crazy busy!  We didn't do much besides a few trick or treat stations and watched the Hocus Pocus show and the parade and then everyone had enough and was ready for bed.  I can't say I would do the Halloween party again but I am glad we did it once.

Monday we did Animal Kingdom and breakfast at Tusker House which was great as always!  We were able to do a few rides we hadn't done before, one being Expedition Everest, which was a favorite of many!  We did a much better job with multi pass this day (Sunday was tough because we wanted the break and were going back to MK at night for the party).

We got our afternoon break and then park hopped to Hollywood Studios and hit some of the big rides with the multi pass that I didn't have reserved for Tuesday.  It was well worth our few hours in the park to get those done.

Tuesday we went back to Hollywood Studios and had much of what we wanted to do all finished by lunch time and we booked multi passes for Epcot for the evening, after our afternoon break.  Epcot was crazy busy but we got a few rides done there too and saw the fireworks.  We hadn't done any of the Star Wars rides in our past trips so we did all of those this time.  They weren't our favorites but the area was cool to see.

Wednesday we didn't have multi pass but we had Guardians of the Galaxy booked at Epcot (so good!) so we ate breakfast over there with just snacks.  After our afternoon pool break, we headed to MK to do Tron again and eat in the castle, which did not disappoint.  This was a wish of the girls since it was canceled on our last trip, they loved it!

We got a lot of steps in during our Disney days and everyone slept well, as we were up and at it early all of the days!  Art of Animation was a hit once again.  We love the 2 bathrooms and bed space and quite honestly, the pull out is rather comfortable as we all took our turns on that.  We didn't get overly sick of the dining center so that was a good thing!

Also, with our dining plan, I am so glad we switched to the sit down one as we would have never used all of those quick service meals otherwise.  Meal portions are huge so we really only needed 4 quick meals when we would eat together.

Away We Go was able to help us with our transfer on Thursday and we got to Cabana Bay early afternoon.  Girls enjoyed the pools here and the food we ate was pretty good too.  Our room was just so so compared to Disney but it worked for us and was a shorter stay.

We really did enjoy Islands of Adventure and Universal too - our older girls aren't super into Harry Potter but they did read a few of the books and watched some of the movies so they got more out of it than Scott and I.  Hagrid's was a favorite - we rope dropped that twice.

Crowds were very manageable on Friday but Saturday was a different story - the parks were crazy busy!  We got a lot done on Friday though so we were able to do and see all that we wanted in those 2 days, even with afternoon pool breaks.  Our youngest, Anna, who will be 8 pretty soon, did all of the rides she could for her height - she really only missed out on the Hulk.  She loved it all, which made it nice that we all could do and enjoy the same things.

We ate at Vivo and Cowfish on Friday and Saturday and loved both of them!  All in all, this was a great experience - we definitely had our fill of rides!

We had early flights home yesterday and all were exhausted last night and sad that the trip was over!

Thanks so much for all of your help!

-Sandy
